In a seven-volume PowerPoint presentation this website gives the theory of MECHANICS and CONTINUUM THERMODYNAMICS in a very concise form in the way the author, J.F.Besseling, professor emeritus of the TU-Delft, would think to be appropriate with the computerfacilities, nowadays generally available.
To each chapter of the presentation belongs an interactive program, to be used for getting well acquainted with the various abstract concepts of the theory. It is the conviction of the author that students are best motivated to study the theory if they are given an opportunity to experiment creatively with the concepts introduced.
